About Legion Baseball

American Legion Baseball provides a summer alternative to travel ball for players aged 13-19. Teams partner with a sponsoring American Legion post that, in many cases, may offset the costs of registration fees, team insurance, uniforms, travel, and more.

American Legion Baseball registers players in all 50 states plus Canada and it serves the young people who play, awarding $25,000 in scholarships annually.

The Senior division ends with an American Legion World Series each summer in Shelby, NC.

“The relationships you build are as important as the on-field success. I still keep up with quite a few of my players, and I’ve been a reference on law school applications and first-job references. I can’t help but think that Legion ball helped foster that.”
